What I learned from travelling is that a Vacation is just a mindset. You don’t have to go somewhere really far just to have a good vacation. As long as you go to a place where you feel relaxed and worry free, you can have an awesome vacation. In fact most of the time, going to a very far place like another country is actually more exhausting than going on Staycation. In this post I will share to you how I got an amazing overnight staycation at Bellevue Hotel Alabang.
My recent staycation experience in Bellevue Manila was totally relaxing and seamless! Our house is just 30 minutes away from the hotel but I switched my mindset from the normal mode to my abnormal Vacation Mode to be able to enjoy this wonderful staycation. Think and Live like a Tourist! 🙂 By the way, why did I say seamless? Because every detail has been taken cared of and the experience was hassle free.
TIP: For a hassle free Staycation experience, Before you go, I suggest you call up the hotel and tell them what you want to do like where, when, and what to eat, if you want to book a nice fancy dinner, if you want to be picked up somewhere or if you want to get spa treatment during your stay. Please be mindful of the Check in and Check out time as well so you can plan your activities better. Tell the hotel what you want and let them do the rest – all you have to do is show up – and pay of course! 🙂
The check in was smooth and the room was ready when I got to the hotel. While waiting for the key card, I enjoyed this fresh fruit juice welcome drink. When I got into my room, the pleasantries were there and the welcome stuff from the Guest Service Officers.
I checked-in in one of Bellevue Hotel’s Tower Grand Deluxe Room which costs around P7,500/night. Not bad considering that it was a very spacious corner room. It has an amazing view of Northgate Cyberzone and the Pool. The room was fitted with very modern and up to date fixtures and gadgets. It has a king size bed, fast and steady Wi-Fi, a walk-in closet that is connected to the Toilet and Bath Area, a very nice ceiling-mounted wide rainfall shower, a big bathtub, luxurious toiletries, huge floor to ceiling windows for an amazing view of the city, a big wall-bracketed swivel LCD TV, and an iPod dock for total entertainment.
Having an iPod Dock in the room adds another option for entertainment. You can listen to your favorite tunes while you are relaxing inside your Room or chillin’ in your Bathtub. iPod docks are becoming part of most hotel’s standard feature. In fact, Bellevue’s standard rooms have iPod Docks as well.
After I settled in my Room, I realized that I had to go to the mall to buy something. Good thing, Bellevue Hotel offers complimentary shuttle ride around Alabang Area. It leaves every 30 minutes and it can drop you off in Alabang Town Center, Festival Mall, or in any building around Madrigal Business Park and Filinvest Corporate City. Once you are done with business, you can just call the hotel to have you picked up! A great add on service I must say!
I went to ATC and got pick up again after an hour. Just enough time to get a massage at Mandarine Spa for a Body Massage before Dinner. Buffet Dinner was served at Café De Asie and it only costs P880! After Dinner, I relaxed (meaning catch up on Facebook, Twitter, TV, and Music) in my room and enjoy the complimentary nightcap Belgian chocolates before finally hitting the sack.
I am not sure if all hotels have this but Bellevue’s Emergency Exit Plan is Glow in the Dark! Cool and very useful!
The next day, I indulged on the Complimentary Breakfast Buffet at Café de Asie. For the health conscious people, Bellevue Hotel as a fully Equipped Gym for your daily exercise needs. After that wonderful breakfast, I hit the pool to swim and relax some more. Bellevue has 2 towers and each tower has its own pool so it is very seldom that the pools get crowded which I really like.
There is also a Jing Monis Salon in Bellevue Hotel. So if you feel like you need a makeover during your Staycation feel free to do so! 🙂 No need to leave the hotel for your hair and make up needs.
After that refreshing swim I went back to my room to fix my stuff for check out. But before I leave the hotel, I had lunch on their amazing Chinese Restaurant – at the Phoenix Court.
During My Overnight Staycation at The Bellevue Manila, I was able to do all these stuff:
- Relax
- Go to the Mall to shop
- Get a Massage
- Had a Buffet Dinner
- Enjoyed a Buffet Breakfast
- Swim in the Pool
- Listen to Music
- Watch TV
- Catch up on Facebook and Twitter
- Blog about stuff
- Probably get a Haircut if I wanted to
- Enjoy Fine Chinese Cuisine
- Relax
All these, Without having to buy an Airline Ticket, Check in at the Airport and Pay Terminal Fees and taxes, and without packing a lot in my bag! Now that’s a Vacation Staycation!
See? who says Staycations can be boring? You just have to find the perfect hotel for your trip and you are good to go!
