I have always wanted to try Manila Hotel’s Buffet (Café Ilang Ilang). It is one of the few buffets in the Metro that I still haven’t tried. To be honest, I have no Idea how big or small their buffet was until I have tried it.What I know was that it should be good since Manila Hotel is one of the finest hotel in the country. In short, I had no expectations. So what happened was a Pleasant Surprise.
Café Ilang Ilang’s Buffet at the Manila Hotel was really Big and the Food was really Good! (Sounds like Kimmy Dora). I don’t exactly know why have I not heard of this place?! Honestly! Manila Hotel’s Café Ilang Ilang is a bit underrated. A buffet this good must get the same attention as Sofitel’s Spiral, Shangri-La’s Circles or Even Vikings and Buffet 101! 🙂 It belongs to the big league!
Manila Hotel’s Buffet is very Unique. It is not the kind of buffet where there is a long buffet spread. What they offer is they have it per section. Each section of the room has its own buffet station. Each station has its own unique design, tables, chairs, and ambiance. It was so cool! My favorite part was the Japanese Section. It was like stand alone Japanese Restaurant inside Café Ilang Ilang’s Buffet! Check out the photos below (way below)!
As I mentioned, the food was terrific! My personal favorite was the Rellenong Bangus! It is very seldom that a buffet serves rellenong Bangus. The Beef tapa, Korean Beef BBQ, Lechon, Tempura, and Siomai were excellent as well. And for dessert, the Cheesecake was to die for! You really have to try manila Hotel’s Cheesecake!!

PS: The buffet area having different sections is perfect for Small gatherings and celebrations since you get a little more privacy than the traditional buffet setting. You just have to reserve in advance.
