A Peek Inside Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Lounge

I recently shared a review of NAIA 1’s Miascor Lounge, it is the Premier Airport Lounge if your airline is flying from  NAIA Terminal 1. But For those flying via Philippine Airlines from NAIA terminal 2 (aka Centennial Terminal) you will have to use their very own Mabuhay Lounge.

The Mabuhay Lounge is an exclusive lounge for all Mabuhay Miles Elite (or higher) Frequent Fliers. You can access the lounge if you are flying PAL on a Business Class Category and/or if you are a Mabuhay Miles Elite (or higher) Cardholder.

As a Mabuhay Miles Elite Member, you are entitled to check-in via the Business Class (Priority) Lane even if you are flying economy. Upon check-in at the counter, they will give you your Lounge Coupon which you need to present upon entry to the Mabuhay lounge.

Inside the Mabuhay Lounge, you will find all the comforts for travellers.

The food was not amazing but it was good. But Again, it is Free… I am not complaining. The interiors of the lounge was not that amazing as well, it looks a bit old and outdated but it was really clean which is very important. The staff were very polite and friendly as well.

Having a lounge access is a great privilege if you are travelling. Apart from the free food and coffee, which is usually very expensive inside the airport, you get to relax and rest before your actual flight. You can also work in peace with Wi-Fi Connectivity and Power outlets ready. In fact, I was able to write 2 blog posts while waiting for my flight which was delayed. You can even sleep and just tell the reception staff to wake you up when it is your time to board. Very convenient indeed.

In the Philippines, there are 4 Mabuhay Lounges: Manila (NAIA 2), Bacolod, Ilo-Ilo, and Cebu City.

If you are a Mabuhay Miles Elite Member and Flying PAL, you can also check-in at the Business Counters during your return Flights. Mabuhay Miles Elite also has lounge partners abroad. You can use their lounge partner on that particular airport during your return flight. Very Cool, because most of the time if not always, their partner lounge abroad is way way cooler and better than the Mabuhay Lounge… Just saying…

More of this lounge next time 🙂

TIP: Don’t drink too much beverage, They serve the same stuff in-flight. You might get bored :p

Hanggang Sa Muli! Paalam!
